Double Pole Push Buttons: Keep Two Control Circuits Documented

A double pole push button switch should be specified as two separately documented control-circuit actions operated by one mechanical press. Before choosing hardware, define the function and contact state for each pole,...

1/2 Inch Push Button Cutouts: Confirm the Drawing and Panel Space

A 1/2 inch push button switch should be selected from its mounting drawing, not from the nominal size alone. One half inch equals 12.7 mm, yet that conversion does not identify the...

Yellow Push Buttons: How to Define Their Meaning on a Control Panel

A yellow push button can help an operator notice a condition or action, but colour is only one part of a control-panel message. The function should be clear from the nearby label...

3/8 Inch Push Button Cutouts: Check the Drawing Before You Drill

An inquiry for a 3/8 inch push button switch should begin with the mechanical drawing, not with a diameter conversion alone. Three-eighths of an inch is 0.375 in, or 9.525 mm, but...

IP65 vs IP67 Push Button Sealing: A Front-Panel Boundary Guide

Compare IP65 and IP67 push button sealing at the front-panel boundary. Define exposure, verify the rated interface, and request documented evidence.

How to Specify a Tamper-Proof Push Button for a Public Panel

A tamper-proof push button switch is specified by how the panel controls access to the operator, fasteners, and service points—not by the phrase “tamper-proof” alone. For a public-facing panel, define the fastening...

How to Specify a Triple Pole Push Button Switch in a Control Panel

For a triple-pole push button switch, three separate contact paths sit under one operator, but that arrangement is not automatically a three-phase power switch. Start with the schematic: define each pole’s NO/NC...

Push Button Switch Box vs Panel-Mount Operators: Which Architecture Fits Your Equipment?

Compare a push button switch box with panel-mount operators using cutouts, wiring space, control logic and model-specific ONPOW evidence for global OEM buyers.

Which Is Safer, NO or NC?

When choosing a push button switch, limit switch, sensor, or safety control device, many buyers ask the same question: Which is safer, a normally open switch or a normally closed switch? The...

110V vs 220V Push Button LED Circuits: Specify the Lamp Supply

A 110V push button switch with illumination must be specified from the AC lamp supply first, not from the contact rating on the datasheet. The visible 110V or 220V LED option identifies...

When Is an 8mm Push Button Switch the Right Micro Cutout?

An 8mm push button switch is the right micro cutout when the panel drawing already commits to Φ8 and switch density matters more than finger target or legend area. Lock cutout diameter,...
